FAQs
- Why does the number of people change the price?
Everyone in the portrait is drawn separately, so a group takes considerably longer than a single face. The price is a base amount for the piece plus a fixed amount for every subject we find.
- Can you include our dog?
Yes. Pets count as part of the portrait and are priced the same as a person, so a photo of two people and a dog is quoted as three. Animals that just happen to be in the background are not counted.
- What if the count is wrong?
Upload a different photo and we will price that one instead. Nothing is charged until you pay, and you can swap the photo right up to that point.
- Which photos work best?
Sharp, well-lit pictures where every face is visible, pets included. Group shots are fine. Very dark photos or ones where people are mostly hidden are harder to count and harder to draw.
- What happens to my photo?
It is stored against your order and used to make your portrait. It is not published anywhere and is not used for anything else.
- Can I order a portrait of more than a dozen subjects?
Very large groups are quoted by hand rather than automatically. Get in touch and we will work it out with you.
